The Backstory
Started as a garage LAN. Now it's a venue.
We're a crew of ex-competitive players and stream producers who got sick of laggy net cafés and no-shows. So we built the room we always wanted, three floors up a laneway warehouse in the CBD.

The garage LANs
Twelve mates, six extension cords, and one very hot Fitzroy garage. Weekend CS scrims that spilled into Monday.
- 2019
First pop-up arena
We rented a Collingwood studio for a 64-player Rocket League cup. It sold out in nine hours and taught us how to run a bracket properly.
- 2022
Hardware Lane opens
Signed the lease on 56 Hardware Lane, gutted it, and wired 40 battlestations with 240Hz panels and a dedicated 10Gbps line.

Academy & broadcast wing
Added a coaching academy and a full broadcast stage so grassroots teams can play under proper lights and cameras.

Do I need to bring my own gear?
Nope. Every station has a mechanical keyboard, gaming mouse, and headset ready to go. That said, plenty of regulars bring their own peripherals — there's a spare USB pass-through at each seat, so plug-and-play is easy.
How much does a session cost?
Open-play stations start at $12 per hour, with a discounted 4-hour block at $40. Academy coaching sessions are $75 for 90 minutes. Student and off-peak (weekday before 4pm) rates knock 20% off standard pricing.
Can I book the venue for a private event?
Absolutely. We host birthdays, corporate team days, and club tournaments. Private hire includes a dedicated comms room, staff to run your bracket, and optional catering from cafés on Hardware Lane. Message us for a quote.
Is there an age limit?
Under-15s are welcome with a guardian present, and we run supervised weekend junior sessions from 10am. After 8pm the arena skews to a 15+ competitive crowd, and any title rated R18+ is restricted accordingly.
Which games can I actually play?
Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, League of Legends, Dota 2, Rocket League, Overwatch 2, and the current fighting-game roster on the console couches. Want something installed for a cup? Give us 48 hours' notice and we'll sort it.
Where exactly are you, and is there parking?
We're at 56 Hardware Lane in the Melbourne CBD, a two-minute walk from Melbourne Central station. There's no on-site parking, but the QV and Melbourne Central car parks are both under 400 metres away.
